Fishing in Jersey with my good friend Phoenix is always an adventure I look forward to. Over the years, we’ve spent countless hours putting our skills to the test at spots like Grand Vaux, where on occasions I have often hooked some impressive catches. One of my most memorable moments was landing a massive 20 pound carp — a battle of strength and patience that left both of us in shock. It’s moments like that which make fishing such a rewarding hobby!
We also make regular stops at the Gunsite Café, where Phoenix has had some unforgettable catches of his own. One of his best moments was landing a 6 pound bass measuring a solid 50 cm after a few patient hours spent by the water waiting. The adrenaline rush is something none of us ever get tired of, and every time I see a fish break the surface, it reminds me why we keep coming back.
From the stunning coastal views to the thrill of the catch, Jersey’s waters have become our own personal treasure trove, bringing endless excitement to every fishing trip we take together.
