Climate Change Summit 2025
Having the opportunity to go to the Radisson Hotel made me feel excited because I love all the things about the Eco-Committee and it makes me feel good when I think that one day we could help to save the world and make improvements in school by being more Eco friendly.
We went to the Conference Room and sat there for quite a while; we listened to an interesting presentation by specialist speakers. It was very educational, and I learned lots of new facts about climate change and the environment. I loved all the activities like matching the meaning to the picture, but it was also nice to listen to see what is happening to the world in terms of climate change and what we can do to support the environment . It was eye opening to learn that the winters will get a lot colder and weather conditions are getting more extreme in summer and winter which can result in more flooding and more natural disasters such as wildfires which affects many people across the world. Certainly, I feel it is a time to invest in a blanket! The summer season is supposed to also become more extreme around the world; it was really useful to learn how we in Jersey are being affected by climate change.
OK, so back to what happened in my visit, we got the opportunity to discuss ideas, think about global issues and share our ideas with all the other schools who attended the conference. It was amazing also because all the food was delicious. I had this one eco idea, my though was to encourage people to recycle more, to make a machine where you put plastic bottles or cans into it and you get money back, encouraging companies to recycle and save money by reusing used items which I believe would financially be beneficial to everyone. I think this could help Jersey to become a better place!
A little inspirational message: Focus on shared responsibility, future generations, and the meaning of life.
