Bible Assembly

At Haute Vallée we are incredibly lucky to be very diverse in many ways including religiously! Christianity is one of the many religions in our school and today the Christianity in our school was represented by two lovely, generous people who came in to give us an assembly.

The assembly was centred around accepting and appreciating others. One lady spoke about appreciating the unspoken heroes of society like binmen and cleaners. The moral of her story was that there are many people that society would struggle to function without but still often go unnoticed so we should always show appreciation for people that maybe don’t always get recognised for their hard work.

Students were very lucky that the pair had gifted the school some mini bibles for us to read if we so wished to have one. One representative said that he didn’t own a bible until quite possibly into his 30s and therefore hoped that this bible being smaller would make it easier for people our age to understand it.

The take-away from the assembly was to always be appreciative, respectful and caring to each other something that all of our students show no matter their religious background and that also aligns with our school values     ACHIEVE.BELIEVE.CARE
