Student Report – Celebrating Diwali

Celebrating Diwali

Diwali, also called the Festival of Lights, is one of my favorites and most meaningful times of the year. It celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

In the days leading up to Diwali, my family and I clean and decorate our home with colorful rangoli designs, strings of lights, and small diyas that glow beautifully at night.

My mom makes all sorts of homemade sweets, and the house smells incredible with the mix of sugar, ghee, and spices. We also visit friends and relatives to share sweets and wish each other happiness and good luck. When night falls, I love going outside to burst fireworks. The colors, sounds, and sparkles make the whole evening feel magical.

For me, Diwali isn’t just about the celebrations. It’s about spending time with loved ones, spreading positivity, and being thankful for what we have. It’s a time that reminds me to start fresh, stay kind, and always bring light wherever I go.
